1. SWITCH OFF WI-FI, BLUETOOTH AND GPS
WHEN NOT IN USE.
If you don't need them, turn off Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth & GPS, as each of these regularly check uses power for signals.
2. REDUCE THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE DISPLAY.
High display brightness and long screen
timeout setting will enhance the battery drain. An easy way to prolong your device's
battery life is to reduce the screen brightness.
3. CHECK YOUR DEVICE CELLULAR SIGNALS.
Check the number of bars that are usually
visible on your handset at home or at work. The use of mobile phones in areas
with very poor signals consumes a lot of battery power and should be avoided to
use where possible, find a place with better network signals.
4. DISABLE, CLOSE OR UNINSTALL UNUSED
APPS
Some apps run in the background process
that drains your mobile battery.

5. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST DEVICE SOFTWARE.

6. TURN ON POWER SAVING MODE.
Power saving mode saves battery power by
limiting the CPU performance of the mobile device, reducing the brightness of
the screen, turning off the touch light and vibration effects. This mode differs
slightly between different models, but will usually close all unnecessary apps
and screens so you can significantly enhance your battery timing. You can turn
on Power Saving Mode manually, or you can set your device to automatically
switch to Power Saving Mode.
7. CHECK HOW OFTEN YOUR MOBILE SYNCS
DATA.
If, like most people, you have multiple
apps on your device, such as email or social media, these apps will often sync,
or check for new emails or updates. Frequent synchronization can shorten your
battery life. Check the sync settings on your apps or email, and make sure
they're just as synced as you need them to be.
8. AVOID DRAINING YOUR BATTERY
COMPLETELY.
On very old types of batteries, it was
advisable to remove them completely. However, completely discharging the
battery on modern smartphone devices can shorten its life. It's best to not
keep your battery less than 20% to avoid damage to battery.
9. STORE YOUR MOBILE PROPERLY.
If you do not want to use and pack your
device for a while, make sure it has at least 50% battery. Minimize cold and
hot exposure.
Extreme cold and heat can harm your
battery.
For example, don't leave your smartphone in your car's glove on hot or cold days. A common myth is that batteries last longer if they are kept in the freezer. This is incorrect and may damage your device battery.
