FBISE Has Changed Passing Criteria for Matric and Intermediate Students
The Federal Board of Intermediate
and Secondary Education (FBISE) has surprisingly announced a rise in the
percentage of students required to pass the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and
Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exams.
The official announcement states
that the minimum required percentage to pass the Secondary School Certificate
(SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exams has been raised from
33% to 40%.

In another development, the Federal
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education determined to conduct separate
practical exams instead of combined ones for both the Secondary School
Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) levels.

The Federal Board (FBISE) announced via Twitter that starting from 2024, practical exams for students of 9, 10, 11 and 12 will be held separately from their annual exams.
Another update is that Federal
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) and EduCareer, a platform
for education and career counseling, have agreed to a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) to introduce EduCareer in Malaysia.
According to the available information,
the initiative is designed to assist Pakistani and international students with
FBISE / Pakistani qualifications. The Federal Board intends to progressively
roll out EduCareer in more countries.
