ABU DHABI PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM ON GOOGLE MAPS

There is very welcome news for the Abu Dhabi commuters, as now it's very easy to catch a bus through Google Maps in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. As reported by Khaleej Times on 29 September 2021 Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre has collaborated with Google to bring live updates about the public transport system (Rout Number, Bus Number and Timing) in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi.

The service has been activated and one can use it simply on google maps through smartphones. Before this development, commuters in the UAE’s capital were using the mobile application “Darbi” which is still available on Google Play Store. Even though the mobile application from Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport has more features if needed.

The service is very useful for every traveler but especially for the daily commuters to plan their journey and to save time as there are live updates about the arrival and departure of the buses on the network.

There are many features on the mobile application “Darbi” one of them is to conveniently book a taxi if required.

Before this Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) – Dubai was collaborating the same for the last many years with Google Maps.

Even Though the mobile applications from RTA & DOT are there, using Google Maps is more convenient, as almost every smartphone user is using Google Maps on a daily basis and this service for sure will add value and convenience for the users.
