People with disabilities will now be able to use Android phones through facial expressions.

Google has introduced some new tools for keeping in mind the needs of disable peoples that will allow them to use smart (Android) phones by changing their facial expressions.

As per the AFP news agency reported, Google said on Thursday that people with physical disabilities and deafness now will be able to use their android smartphones without the need to use their hands by simply smiling or raising their eyebrows.

Google's these two new tools are using machine learning technology and front camera of the smartphones to detect users' eye movements and facial expressions.

Smartphone users can choose any option by raising eyebrows, opening their mouths, smiling or looking up, down, left and right.

As per the information from Google, "new tools have been introduced to make it easier for everyone (with a smartphone) to communicate and use the smartphone with facial expressions."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that there are about 61 million people living in the United States with the physical disabilities.

This data has put pressure on the major technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Apple to create products that are user friendly and more accessible to the special peoples.

Google said in its blog post that people use the phone in their daily lives with voice commands or things with their hands. However, this is not possible for the people with deafness and physical disabilities

According to the blog post, Google has introduced two new features in this regard in which the smartphone users will be able to operate their android smartphones with the help of a 'Face Switch'.

Similarly, Google has also introduced a new application called 'Project Active' through which one can use the smartphone by using facial expressions.

The application is freely available for the smartphone users on the Google Play Store in the United Kingdom, Australia, United States and Canada.

It should be noted that these big technology giants Google, Microsoft and Apple are working on to bring on such new innovations that will make it easier to use technology for the people with disabilities or other people as well.

Apple, a big name in technology has also added a new feature called 'Assistive Touch' to its smartwatches, this new feature allows its users to control the watch screen by help of gestures.

With these rapid innovations in technology, one can hope that soon everyone will be able to take maximum benefits to make their life easier and better and especially the people with physical disabilities.
