WHAT IS "DO NOT DISTURB" (DND) FUNCTION ON ANDROID & IPHONE MOBILES AND HOW TO USE IT

There might be a situation with you when you turn on silent mode on your mobile and later you forget to turn it off and after some time you come to know that you missed some important calls because your mobile was in silent mode, to handle this kind of situation this function is there in the mobile phones. You can set the DND duration from 15 Minutes to many hours as required or up to a specific time. For example, before starting a meeting you can turn it on for one hour (assuming that the meeting time is one hour) and after one hour mobile will turn automatically in normal mode so no need to remember to turn it off manually. The "Do Not Disturb" (DND) function on Android devices allows you to silence incoming calls and notifications during certain times or when the device is in certain states. When DND is enabled, your phone will not vibrate or make any sound when you receive calls or notifications. However, you can still see the calls and notifications on your phone's screen, and they will be stored in your phone's notification history.

You can turn on DND manually or schedule it to turn on and off automatically at specific times or when the device is in certain states, such as when it is being charged or when you are driving.

To enable DND on an Android device:

  1. Go to your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap "Sound and vibration."
  3. Tap "Do Not Disturb."
  4. Toggle the switch to turn DND on or off.

You can also customize DND settings by tapping the "Customize" or "Advanced" options in the DND settings menu. For example, you can choose which types of notifications are allowed or blocked when DND is on, or you can set up automatic rules for turning DND on and off based on your location or the time of day.

It is important to note that the specific steps to enable and customize DND may vary depending on your Android device and the version of Android that it is running.
