HOW TO CHECK THE NUMBER OF OVERSTAY DAYS AND FINES IN THE UAE

There might be a situation when you need to check the number of overstay days and fines in the United Arab Emirates.

Whether you are a tourist (holding a visit visa) or a resident in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) it is important to keep a check on your visa expiry date (You can always check UAE visa status online by clicking here so you can take appropriate action to avoid any fine, keep in mind that for tourist visa holders there is a grace period of 7 days (I verified this information for at least 2 persons in December 2022 while their visit visa was issued in the Emirates of Sharjah in the month of August 2022) after the expiry date for example if your visa expiry date is 20 the grace period will be up to 27 and after this date, the fine will start.

Resident visa holders have variable grace periods starting from minimum 30 days to maximum up to 180 days depending upon the type of once visa, to make sure about your grace period always visit the online portal of "Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP)".
